Hydro-Thermal Corporation (“Hydro-Thermal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to www.hydro-thermal.com and its subdomains, any affiliated microsites we operate, landing pages and forms we host through our marketing platform, our email and marketing communications, and information we collect at trade shows, webinars, and other events. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, or to information we process on behalf of our customers under a separate agreement.

Summary

We are a business-to-business industrial equipment manufacturer. The personal information we collect is almost entirely professional contact information — name, company, job title, work email, work phone.
We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and marketing. You can manage these through our cookie preferences tool and your browser settings.

Definitions

Personal information (or personal data) means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked with an identified or identifiable individual. It does not include aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

We collect information you give us directly when you request a quote, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter or blog, download a case study, white paper, or other resource, register for a webinar or event, request lab or field service, complete a survey, or apply for a job. Depending on the interaction, this may include:

Company name, job title, department, and industry
Business mailing address, city, state or province, postal code, and country
Application and process details you share with us, such as flow rates, temperatures, product characteristics, and equipment requirements

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health information, biometric data, or information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or union membership. Information From Other Sources

As a business-to-business company, we also obtain professional contact information from sources other than you directly. These include:

Trade shows and industry events. When you visit our booth and allow your badge to be scanned, or when an event organizer provides us with attendee or lead lists.
Business data and enrichment providers. We use third-party providers to verify and supplement company and contact records with information such as company size, industry classification, website domain, and job function.
Intent data providers. We work with providers that identify, at the company level, organizations showing research activity on topics related to industrial process heating. This information is tied to businesses rather than to named individuals, and is derived from IP address and cookie data rather than from your name or email address.
Publicly available sources. Company websites, professional networking profiles, industry directories, and public filings.
Social and advertising platforms. If you submit a lead form on a platform such as LinkedIn, that platform provides your submitted information to us.
Representatives, distributors, and channel partners. Our authorized representatives may share inquiry and project information with us.
Referrals. Colleagues or business contacts who forward our materials or introduce us.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support our marketing. We group them into the following categories:

In the interest of transparency, this section describes the categories of third-party technology we use on our website and in our marketing operations, and what each category does. We work with established providers in each category and require them to handle personal information under contract and only for the purposes we specify. Website hosting, security, and content delivery. Serves our pages, protects against attacks and abuse, and maintains performance and security logs. These technologies are strictly necessary for the site to operate.
Content management and site functionality. Powers our page content, navigation, forms, and language selection, and remembers functional preferences such as the language you have chosen.
Tag management. Controls which of the technologies below load on a page and in what order. Tag management does not itself collect personal information for marketing purposes.
Web analytics. Measures how many people visit our site, where they come from, which pages and resources they use, and how our content performs, so we can improve it.
Marketing automation and contact management. Hosts our forms and landing pages, sends and measures our marketing email, stores contact and inquiry records, associates website activity with a contact once a form is submitted, and applies the lead scoring described below.
Advertising and social platforms. Measures the performance of our advertising campaigns, builds audiences, and delivers our advertising to relevant business audiences on search, display, and professional networking platforms, including to people who have previously visited our site.
Embedded media. Delivers video and other media embedded in our pages. These providers may set their own cookies when the media loads or plays.
Account identification and intent data. Identifies, at the company level, organizations researching topics related to our products, as described below.

Account Identification and Intent Data

We use intent data and account identification services, currently provided by Intentsify, to understand which companies are researching topics related to direct steam injection and industrial process heating, and to focus our advertising and outreach on those companies. These services use IP address, cookie data, and third-party research signals to associate website activity with an organization rather than with a named individual. Intentsify’s pixel does not collect names or email addresses; you can review its privacy practices at intentsify.io/privacy-policy. We use the results to prioritize accounts, tailor content, and target advertising at the company level. If you prefer not to be included, you can decline marketing cookies through our cookie banner, transmit a Global Privacy Control signal, or contact us directly.

We also use internal business systems, including our enterprise resource planning system and Microsoft 365, to manage quotes, orders, service records, and business correspondence. These are not marketing tracking technologies and do not place cookies on our website.

Email Tracking

Our marketing emails contain small tracking images and coded links that tell us whether a message was delivered and opened, which links were clicked, and general information about the device and email client used. We use this to measure campaign performance and to send more relevant content. Some email providers preload images automatically, which can register an open that did not occur, so we treat this data as approximate. You can disable automatic image loading in your email client, and you can stop receiving marketing email entirely using the unsubscribe link in any message.

Opt-Out Preference Signals

Our cookie consent banner recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension transmits GPC, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser and device, and non-essential cookies are not set. Because the signal is tied to a browser rather than to an individual, we may not be able to associate it with an existing record we hold about you, and it will not by itself stop marketing email you have previously signed up for. To make an opt-out that applies to your entire record, or to unsubscribe from email, contact us using the details at the end of this policy or use the unsubscribe link in any message.

Lead Scoring and Automated Processing

We use automated scoring in our marketing platform to prioritize follow-up. Scores are based on factors such as the industry and size of your company, the pages and resources you have viewed, and your engagement with our emails. This scoring helps our team decide which inquiries to contact first and what information to send. It does not produce legal or similarly significant effects, and a member of our team reviews inquiries before any substantive decision is made. We may also use artificial intelligence tools to help draft content, summarize inquiries, and organize records. We do not use these tools to make automated decisions about individuals.

Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract, when we process an order, provide equipment or service, or take steps at your request before entering a contract

How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information in the following circumstances:

Service providers. Companies that host our website, deliver our email, manage our marketing and customer records, provide analytics, process payments, ship equipment, and provide information technology support. These companies may use personal information only to perform services for us.
Advertising and analytics partners. Platforms that help us measure and deliver advertising, as described in the platform table above.
Authorized representatives and distributors. When your inquiry is best served by a representative in your region, we forward your contact and application information to them so they can assist you.
Affiliates and related companies. For the purposes described in this policy.
Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers, as reasonably necessary.
Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as a business asset. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “processing for targeted advertising,” as those terms are broadly defined under certain U.S. state privacy laws. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Our general practice is:

International Transfers

Hydro-Thermal is headquartered in the United States, and the platforms we use are primarily operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, the information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with supplementary technical and organizational measures. Some of our service providers are also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension and Swiss-U.S. counterpart. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls and role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication on business systems, network monitoring, and employee security training. Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to provide a copy of the information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete your information, or stop sending you marketing communications. We will honor these requests to the extent we are able, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.

United States Residents

We will verify your request by matching the information you provide against our records, and we may ask for additional information if we cannot verify your identity. We respond within the time period required by your state’s law, generally 45 days, with an extension where permitted. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission and proof of authority. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or writing to us at the address below; we will respond to appeals within the period required by law and will tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree with the outcome.

Note that many U.S. state privacy laws exclude information collected in a purely business-to-business or employment context. Where an exemption applies, we may not be required to honor certain requests, but we will tell you if that is the case.

California Residents

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act: identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address; commercial information such as products and services considered or purchased; internet and network activity such as browsing and interaction with our site and emails; approximate geolocation derived from IP address; professional and employment-related information such as employer, job title, and information contained in an employment application; and inferences drawn from the above, such as likely industry interest and engagement level. We collect these from the sources and for the purposes described earlier in this policy, and we disclose them to the categories of recipients listed in the sharing section. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opportunity to limit its use. California’s “Shine the Light” law permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing (including objecting to direct marketing at any time), to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
