The company was acquired by the Zaiser family in 1964 and has grown profits from four million dollars in 2000 to nearly 11 million dollars in 2011.Another significant factor in the win is how the strategic design benefits the extended Milwaukee area. Instead of utilizing offshore sources of castings and low-cost assembly components we insource vendors from a 30 mile radius of their headquarters.

Family-owned businesses account for 60% of total U.S. employment, 78% of all new jobs, 65% of wages paid, and 50 percent of the country’s GDP, according to a Family Firm Institute study. Family businesses are also firmly rooted in their communities and their charitable dollars and volunteer hours make their neighborhoods better places to live.
