Hot water sets incorporating direct steam injection EZ Heaters are furnished with skid-mounted piping assembly and components along with optional Controls, training and start-up services.
We integrate the piping assembly with a customized, PLC-based, fully automated control panel, steam traps, pressure gauges, flow switch and check valves to optimize your operation quickly and efficiently. Your operators can continuously monitor the process at all points throughout the system without leaving the control room.
While hot water sets are designed, built, and installed to the individual specifications of your process, several key elements are common to every set...
- Integrated customized, PLC-based, fully automated control panel monitors your process at all key points.
- Standardized components: steam traps, check valves, flow switch, temperature element and pressure gauges.
- At the heart of every hot water set is a direct steam injection EZ Heater®. The EZ Heater transfers heat by injecting steam at high velocity into liquid or slurry. The rapid heat transfer, via choked flow technology, causes the steam to condense and disperse into the liquid very quickly, eliminating hammer and vibration. Also, our patented self cleaning design greatly reduces maintenance & performance issues due to scaling and fouling from hard water.

Hot water sets eliminate product "burn on" and improve quality while reducing maintenance:
» Inside a steam jacketed kettle, product can "burn on" due to high temperatures and hot spots in the jacket,
causing loss of product, contamination, and heat transfer fouling. Those problems can in turn result in lower
product quality, increased processing time, higher energy consumption, and more maintenance. The EZ Heater
works by injecting steam directly into a “water” jacket which is a much more uniform heating, and precise
temperature control +/- 1°F. This ensures a proper heat transfer through the jacket, eliminates burn on and
maintains product integrity. With no burn-on, you also eliminate expensive maintenance and cleaning cycles.
» With kettles using simple sparge tubes, heat can be lost as steam escapes from the surface. EZ Heaters are
100% energy efficient, using only the steam necessary to properly heat the product either on the fill or in a
recirc mode which will continually maintain accurate temperature.
