A poultry slaughtering plant needed to sterlize knives for the cleaning and trimming process. Existing Cal Rods could not maintain sanitizing temperatures and required frequent replacement. The customer was looking to:

  • Replace Cal Rods with more efficient heating methods
  • Maintain temperature for paper sanitizing
  • Reduce downtime due to Cal Rod heating elements burning out

Design Conditions

Water Flow Rate: 25 gpm, with 0.5 gpm overflow
Water Inlet Temperature: 60°F
Water Outlet Temperature: 180°F
