Focus on Pulp & Paper
Serving the Pulp & Paper Industry
Hasco Valve launched a subsidiary firm called the Hydro-Thermal Company in the 1940s that continued to serve the paper industry. New Hydroheater® models were launched for the purpose of heating whitewater, green and black liquors as well as the pulp stock itself.
In 1950, due to growing demand, the company purchased and relocated to a building in Wauwatosa, WI. In 1957, the Hasco Valve name along with all of the inventory, tools, patterns and drawings for the valve business were sold. The parent company was renamed the Sirod Corporation but retained the Hydro-Thermal subsidiary to focus on efficient fluid heating.
In 1963, The Sirod Corporation was dissolved and the Hydro-Thermal company was sold to former Ampco Metals president, Donald Zaiser and a group of investors who incorporated the business under the name Hydro-Thermal Corporation. The corporation continued to focus on applications within the pulp & paper industry.
Gary Zaiser purchased the corporation in 1978 and began a steady expansion of markets served.
The 70s also saw the introduction of the K series Hydroheater the most successful ever.
