A packager of frozen potatoes for the commercial market needed to replace an aging heat exchanger used to heat water for their wash down hose stations and spray bars. The heat exchanger was not holding temperature and required frequent cleanings because of scaling.
They chose an EZ Heater® skid constructed of 316SS stainless steel to heat water for a wet wash down environment during the skinning and cleaning of potatoes. Variable flow rates and water pressures necessitate a recirculation pump on the skid to help ensure proper temperatures during fluctuations.
